At the helm of Nisus Metal Works, you'll find Nick Lawrence. Nick got his start in metal fabrication and welding at Lyndon Fabricators before making the move to TechShop Detroit to share his love of the craft with others. Now closed TechShop was a Membership-based workshop and prototyping studio providing access to tools, equipment, design software, fabrication/prototyping space, and skill-based instruction. Next stop on the journey to Nisus was Williams International where Nick honed his skills as an apprentice machinist before relocating to Northern Michigan and Van Dam Custom Boats. Now the owner and founder of Nisus Metal Works in Bellaire, Michigan, Nick continues his passion for bespoke pieces customized to every clients unique needs.
